Cenotaph for the Atomic Bomb Victims
| In this stone coffin, books registering the names of the victims are contained. The shape of this memorial represents a clay figure of an ancient house and keeps the souls of those who perishied in the atomic bombing out of the rain. Though this inscription drew arguments in the past, at present it is regarded that this inscription shows people's commitment to the peace. when people stand before this cenotaph, regardlress of their nationalities, people commit themselves as a human being never to repeat the nuclear war.
